Frances Alice Brown Rosson
9/23/1927- 1/18/2024
Frances Alice Brown Rosson passed away January 18, 2024. She died peacefully at home with her husband, Bill holding her hand.
She was born in Cedar Lane, Texas, on September 23, 1927, to Lorain and Frances Eastman. Alice was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Albert Baxter Brown, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 8 years Bill, daughter Jeanette McGlothlin, son Albert Brown III (Debbie), grandson Albert Brown IV, her sister Vivian Harmon, and her great granddaughter Nylah.
Alice was a straight A student from elementary school through high school graduation. After moving to Houston, she attended business school; her first job was with Nabisco in the business office. Alice then had 2 distinguished careers: one as a Deputy Constable in Harris County as special assistant to Walter Rankin of Precinct 1 (yes, she had a uniform, badge and carried a gun). After leaving Harris County, she went to work at Tenneco Realty as office manager to the president until she retired.
Christ and family were the most important things in her life. The family seldom missed being in church and Sunday school; Alice loved music and had a beautiful soprano voice, sang in the choir, worked as secretary in the church office and participated in numerous church activities. She was a very loving, compassionate, and outgoing lady with a flair for fashion.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Alice can be made to the charity of your choice.
