Flor E. Rojas, age 61, passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021 in Houston, Tx.

Flor was born to Jacobo Gallegos and Maria Guadalupe O. Gallegos on January 24,1960 and was raised in Pharr, Tx.

During her school days, she would work hard alongside her siblings during the summer. She graduated from Pharr San Juan Alamo High School in 1978.

Flor started on her degree at Pan-American University when she got swept off her feet by the love of her life Rodolfo Rojas, if you ask her husband. Her version was that she stole his heart from other interests on the dance floor. After they met, they were engaged and married within 6 months.

They were married on April 2, 1982 and soon departed their hometown for the big city, Houston, TX. After deciding that raising a family would be better outside of Houston, they settled in Cypress, TX. Flor's main focus was raising their two children, Zandra and Arturo Rojas, until they entered school where she began her career in education.

After having so much love to give, the couple realized their family had room for more. Shortly after they were surprised and overjoyed to welcome their third child Adrian Rojas.

Flor retired in 2018 after taking on multiple roles. Her last position was as a receptionist at Turlington Elementary in Waller ISD.

Flor is lovingly remembered by her husband Rodolfo Rojas, loving children Zandra, Arturo and Adrian and as her nephews Jacob, Antonio and Carlos put it, her honorary grandchildren Emma, Immanuel, Charlotte, Estela, Elena and Ezekiel.

She will be remembered for her home cooked meals and her famous Mexican rice. She always enjoyed being surrounded by family during celebrations and holidays. She could always be found around the table waiting for a good game of Loteria, even if her cards were "rigged". Flor was an amazing friend, neighbor, sister, wife, aunt and mother.
