Fred Muchelot, 94, of Spring, Texas passed away peacefully June 12, 2O22 in Spring, Texas. He was the youngest of 5 children. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, his 3 sisters and his loving wife Jennie who passed away July 2019. He is survived by his daughter Donna Bussey and husband Michael; daughter Doriann Lee; his granddaughter Amanda Damrell and husband David; his grandson Adam Lee and wife Priscilla and 3 great-grandchildren, The Triplets - lvy, Tom and Emma Damrell; and nieces and nephews.
Fred grew up in Hartford and left high school at age 16 to join The Merchant Marines, staying in for 5 years. He graduated from Hartford Public High School somehow during that time. He was then drafted into The US Army (Signal Corps) and served 2 years stateside. He completed his college education in stages and graduated from U. of Connecticut with a BS in Business Administration. He married his high school sweetheart, Jennie and had 2 daughters Donnalynn and Doriann. After graduating from college his career took him to many cities in the US and Canada and eventually retiring from his career in insurance in Spring, Texas.
He was funny and smart and had a great sense of humor. He could fix anything and had all the tools to do it! His love, devotion and dedication to his wife, Jennie was immense. They shared 68 years together. They loved traveling and took many vacations and cruises over the years to Europe, Australia, Turkey, Brazil, Hawaii, Alaska and Mexico with family and friends.
He was loved by so many family and friends and especially adored by his grandchildren. He and Jennie leave behind a legacy of love.
The family would like to extend their special thanks to Harvest Home Assisted Living and Devotion Palliative Care and Hospice for their love and care.
