Obituary

Elva (Fae) Laird

Born November 13, 1942 in Pasadena, TX

Passed away January 10, 2022 in Tomball, TX

Fae finished High School at Southwestern Assemblies of God College in 1960.  She took grade 11 and 12 in one year with honors, a straight A student.  She had a beautiful voice and sang in a Trio at different Churches in Waxahachie and surrounding area. To say she was Smart and Talented would be an understatement. Jerry Laird and Fae Ford met on campus at Waxahachie. The rest is 61 years of how God puts 2 people together making them One for His Divine Purpose with many Wow experiences.  One thing she did, believing God told her to do, was to start a business, a clothing store in Pearland while at Bethany Assembly of God.  Store was named Teen Threads.  Later she opened a store at Greenspoint Mall called Model A Station.  The last store she had was J Laird Village Boutique on Rice Blvd.  Thirty years prior to opening her last store an Angel saved her life while vacationing and tubing on the Frio river at Garner State Park.  After saving her and a friend from going over a waterfall, the angel just disappeared.  Thirty years later at her store J Laird Village Boutique, she was overextended financially and needed $3000.  She was praying to God to send her some business and help her, when this same Angel that saved her life walked in her store, walked around putting clothes on his arm.  He finished, asked her to ring it up.  It came to $3000.  He paid in cash.  He picked them up and walked out of the store.  Wow!
