Obituary

Everette Louis Talbot, 69, was born June 19, 1951 to Carroll and Therese Talbot in Houma, Louisiana. He entered eternal life on April 17, 2021.

He was born and raised in Houma, and moved to Lake Charles, Louisiana to attend McNeese State University in 1969. He received a football scholarship and played at McNeese, and then graduated in 1973 with a Business degree.

While attending McNeese, Everette met his wife and the love of his life, Theresa Walker. They married in 1972 and built their life together in Louisiana and then Texas over the past 49 years. Their lives were fulfilled with the birth of their daughter, Trisha Michelle.

In 2013, another blessing came with the birth of his beloved grandson, Talbot Carroll. For the last 7 years, Everette has been thrilled to answer to "Pops." Spending time with his family was truly his greatest joy in life.

For nearly three decades Everette has been a financial planner owning a business, Talbot Financial, in Spring, Texas. He received numerous awards over many years including: 5-Star Wealth Manager, Houston's Top Wealth Manager, and Wall Street Journal Wealth Manager. He was dedicated to his clients and worked hard to provide them with great services. He considered it a privilege to work along side his beloved daughter in the business.

Everette enjoyed many hobbies. He was quite a craftsman. He could often be found creating beautiful woodworking projects, such as furniture, for family and friends while listening to his music.

He enjoyed fishing trips with his family and spending time on the water. He also enjoyed duck hunting. He was a master chef and enjoyed creating meals fit for a king or boiling a batch of crawfish like no other. He enjoyed nothing better than treating others to his cooking skills. Whether it was for family, friends or clients, Everette was the ultimate host.

Another past time, dear to Everette's heart, was wearing the purple and gold of his LSU Tigers. Whether winning or losing, Everette could be heard cheering them on or chastising their performance. For those who knew and loved him, LSU Football will always stir fond memories of Everette.

Everette was a man of deep faith and compassion. He loved his God, his church, and serving both. Everything he did in life was done with perfection and caring, and out of service to those he loved. He was dedicated, faithful, and supportive to his family. HE WAS THEIR ROCK. He was a wonderful friend. If he was your friend, you knew

it was for life. He will be greatly missed by his loved ones and all those whose lives he touched.

In summary, Everette Talbot's life was about FAITH FAMILY FRIENDS! And as many of you know, during troubled times he would always say, "This too shall pass!"

Pallbearers honoring Everette will be Kevin Talbot, Mark Talbot, Jay Domangue, Chris Walker, Shane Carroll, Ty Whatley, Trevor Talbot and Chase Walker.

Everette was preceded in death by his parents, Carroll and Therese Talbot and his sister, Ann Talbot.
