Obituary

Evelyn Florence Woodall was born in Moosup, Connecticut, on September 7, 1920, to William and Cordelia (Jolicouer) Bellavance and passed from this life at the age of 101 in Spring, Texas, on June 20, 2022. She was the last surviving sibling of nine children. She moved to Houston in 1946 after her marriage to Albert C. Woodall where they raised their family before moving to Oak Ridge North in 1968. Evelyn was an avid reader, a social butterfly, a proud Democrat and read the Houston Chronicle cover-to-cover every day beginning with the comics. For many years, she was very active in both The Woodlands YMCA and The Woodlands Women's Club.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Woodall; granddaughter, Scarlett Romine; and son-in-law Gilbert Romine. She is survived by her children, Jane C. Romine; Steven A. Woodall and his wife Marlene; and James W. Woodall and his wife Dena.

"Nonnie," as she was affectionately known, will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Stephanie Deese, Steve Schliska, Aimee Woodall, James Woodall and Kristie Woodall; and by her great-grandchildren Allie, Jonathan, Reagan and Jake Deese; Wilde and Tallulah Crabtree, Arya Woodall and numerous nieces and nephews. She had many friends who will miss her smile and laughter.

A funeral mass for Evelyn will be held at 10am on Monday, July 18, 2022 at Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, 26777 Glen Loch Dr., The Woodlands, TX 77381 with a reception at the church immediately to follow.  She will be laid to rest with her husband in Houston National Cemetery at 2pm on Monday, July 18, 2022.
