Evelyn Ruth Hughes Stalcup, passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 29, 2019. She was born January 23, 1928 in Houston, Texas to Lula and Elzie Hughes. She was married to James William Stalcup (JW) on May 1, 1945, they were married for 55 years and 2 days. JW passed away on May 3, 2000. Evelyn loved her family and her church, she loved to crochet and give her blankets away. She had her beloved dog BoBo who at first she didn't want but grew to love him dearly. She is a loving and devoted mother of three children, Patricia Walters of Magnolia, Tx, Bobby Stalcup and wife Tooty, of Spring, Tx, Billy Stalcup and wife Caryn of Magnolia, Tx, 10 grandchildren and several great-great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Vitas Care Facility they gave her special loving care and kept her comfortable.
