Evelyn Jean Taylor Pawlak, age 74, born July 15, 1942 to Hays and Bertha Taylor in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Jean moved to Houston when she was a young teenage girl. She lived with her grandmother in Arkansas before moving to Texas to be with her mother, Bertha. She was one of 5 siblings - 2 sisters, Gale and Linda and 2 brothers, Pat and Woody. All deceased. She married Joe Pawlak (deceased in 2000) at the tender age of 17. They lived and raised their children in Tomball, Tx. She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Pawlak Hardee, Linda Pawlak Hoffart, and son, Joseph "Joey" Pawlak and 5 grandkids, Austin and Weston Hardee and Luke, Matthew and Heidi Hoffart. She spent her last few years in the loving home of her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Tim Hoffart, surrounded by lots of love and kindness. Two weeks ago, she went to the hospital and was diagnosed with Liver Cancer, but because she was so sick, she was hardly aware of the Cancer diagnosis. Family considers this a blessing, as she never had time to dwell on how sick she really was. She passed in Hospice care at Kindred Hospital with both daughters, Brenda and Linda, by her side, holding her hands. Nurses and staff at both Tomball Hospital and Kindred Hospital treated her with the greatest of care and dignity to her last breath. Jean was a long time member of St. Anne's Church, Tomball, Texas. Her faith was rooted deep in the Catholic Church and her devoted love for our Holy Mary, Mother of Jesus. While she is now in the loving care of our Lord, she will be dearly missed by loved one's left behind. Until we are together again, PEACE!
