Evelyn Blaha Miley was born in Hockley, Texas on March 25, 1927, and passed away in Houston, Texas on August 13, 2023.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Miley, and her parents, Reinhart and Lillie Blaha.

Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Alisa Thacker and husband James; grandchildren, Jeremy Gant and wife Hieu April Fox; great-grandchildren, Luke Gant, Audrey Brown, and B. Brown; brother, Claude Blaha; cousins, Glenn & Amy Fehlau, Sandra & James Holt, Mike & Lisa Keon, and Pat & Susie Keon; and many beloved friends.

She was active in various organizations and her community.  In her earlier years, Evelyn was a Camp Fire Leader, worked with the Food Bank, The Forest West Garden Club and worked the polls at election times.  Evelyn was a member of Advent Lutheran Church, and was active in many church organizations.

Visitation will be held at 9am with a funeral service for Evelyn to immediately follow at 10am on Monday, August 21, 2023 at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 W. Main, Tomball, TX 77375. She will be laid to rest at Roberts Cemetery in Hockley, Texas. Reception will be at Advent Lutheran Church 5820 Pinemont Dr. Houston, Texas 77092 at 4:00 pm.
