Obituary

Evangelina Aguilera Loverde

On Sunday September 11, 2022, Evangelina Loverde, at the age of 86, left this earth to be home in Heaven with Our Lord after a 4.5-year battle with end stage kidney disease.

Angie, as many called her, was born in Vista California on August 10, 1936, to Cliserio (Joseph) and Angelina Aguilera. Angie grew up in Vista/Oceanside area, where she met the love of her life Joe Nick Loverde, (as he was stationed at Camp Pendleton). They were married June 16, 1956, and resided in Fullerton, California for approximately 9 years, started a family, Mary Therese, Nick Joseph and Roy William and in 1964 moved to Houston, Texas and continued to raise their children, enjoying a beautiful life together of 54 years.

After a 25-year career as a Pharmacy technician at Walgreens, where Angie made many friends and enjoyed being attentive to all her customers, she chose to retire to stay home and care for her aging mother.

She loved to travel with her younger son, Roy to Lake Charles to play the slots, her favorite machine, Triple 7's was always paying out and she enjoyed every minute of it !!!. She always looked forward to Sunday Bingo with her friend Nancy where she would win many times and those pull tabs oh my! And then, there is Bunco, she so enjoyed playing Bunco with her daughter, Mary and her wonderful friends and neighbors on Shady Fern Court.

Angie was loved by all who knew her, and she made many friends throughout her lifetime!

She had a heart of gold, a beautiful smile and was the most unselfish women anyone has ever known. She loved God, and so believed in the power of prayer. But most of all she loved her family unconditionally and dedicated her life to them. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Angie was caring and compassionate. She delighted in spending time with and enjoying the spontaneity of her children and all her grandchildren who lovingly and simply called her "Grandmama."

She is survived by her loving daughter Mary and husband Tom Reynolds; her sons, Nick and wife Angela Loverde, Roy and wife Dawn Loverde, and her grandchildren Brandi and Jason Bergeron, Jason and Dana Reynolds, Joseph Reynolds, Angela and Joshua Reynolds and Riley Loverde, 6 great grandchildren, Jasmine Gonzales, Piper Castillo, Leah and Avery Bergeron and Nathan and William Reynolds.

We wish to extend our deepest appreciation and respect to DaVita Cypresswood Dialysis Center and their entire loving and professional staff for her care since May 2018. Their love, compassion and expert care provided mom with many comfortable treatments throughout her 4.5 years.
