Eunice Lillian Metz passed away on November 2, 2021 in Spring, Texas, at the age of 93 years, 5 months and 7 days. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on May 24, 1928 to Otto E. Reimnitz and Ottillie H. (Thram) Reimnitz. She is preceded in death by her husband Rev. Erwin Albert Metz, Sr.

Eunice married Rev. Erwin Albert Metz, of St. Joseph, Michigan on August 20, 1950. This union of 69 years was blessed with 5 children: Timothy (deceased), Erwin Albert, Jr. (Melinda), Debra Lester (Keith), Kathy Bodin (Daniel) and Cynthia Schriber (Andrew); 17 grandchildren (two deceased); and 9 great grandchildren. Eunice is survived by her sister, Miriam Reimnitz, of St. Louis, Missouri as well as many nieces and nephews.

Eunice was a devoted partner with her husband's many years of ministry. She followed him from St. Louis to various congregations throughout the state of Texas. When her husband changed his calling from church ministry to secondary education at a Lutheran High School, she and the children followed him to Racine, Wisconsin. While in Wisconsin, Eunice returned to work for AT&T as a telephone operator. Upon their "retirement", they returned to Texas to be near family and friends. After returning to Texas, Eunice completed a long-term goal and obtained her GED.

Eunice was an avid "crafter" teaching many how to knit and crochet as well as bead work and a multitude of unique crafts made from buttons to Christmas ornaments made from reused disposable communion cups! For many years she canned fruits and vegetables, giving away a multitude of jars of jams, jellies, tomatoes, and pickles. She even tried making wine. Her coffee cake recipes have been handed down from her children to her grandchildren, with a remembrance of her method to measure how much vanilla to use. She leaves a legacy of cherished memories, especially her round "TUIT" and her standard message of "fine and dandy, and as sweet as sugar candy" whenever she was asked how she was doing.

The Memorial Visitation will be held on November 13, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm followed by the Memorial Service from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Klein Funeral Home 1400 W. Main, Tomball, Texas 77375.

A private family only graveside service will be held at 10:30 am.
