Eugene John Oehl was born on December 27, 1945 in Ganado, TX where he attended Ganado High School and played football. He later attended Texas A&M University and majored in History and English. He proudly served in the U.S. Army for 5 years before being honorably discharged. He and his family settled in Fort Worth where he lived for 36 years, raised three children, and worked for the Fort Worth Independent School District. He was known for his high energy, strong work ethic, loyalty, and love of God, Family, and Country. He was a talented fisherman, avid hunter, and excellent marksman. Moving to Houston in 2012, he spent the last decade of his life enjoying retirement, his family (especially his eight grandchildren), celebrating 53 years of marriage, honoring the Lord, and spreading joy to all those fortunate enough to enjoy his company.
