Eugene Albert Hensley, known as Gene, 82, of Trinity, TX passed away on August 26, 2021 surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. He went to be with his beloved wife, Sandra Hensley, on their 61st wedding anniversary.

Gene was born in Tazewell, Tennessee on August 19th, 1939. He joined the Navy where he met the love of his life when he was stationed at a naval air base in Kingsville, TX. They were married on August 26, 1960.

The oilfields became his lively hood after he served his time with the Navy. Brown Oil Tools, Weatherford, Homco to name a few of his companies that he worked for. He was very passionate about his job duties all the way up until the day he retired.

Gene loved the outdoors. If Gene wasn't working, you would find him on the water fishing or out at the deer lease hunting. He loved feeding corn to the deer on his driveway at his house. They would almost eat out of his hands. He enjoyed having his family on the boat saying "Got One" every time a fish was caught.

The family of Gene Hensley is saddened to announce his passing. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Stella Hensley. His beloved wife Sandra and their son Coby Hensley. He is survived by his children, Crystal Pettus, Sherri Pavloske, Eugene Hensley, Jr and Stacie Jenkins. Son-in-laws Dennis Pettus and Shane Jenkins. Grandchildren David Lasco II, Brandy Miller, Coby Lasco, Cameron Pavloske, Morgan Pavloske, Brittany Hensley, Skylar Jenkins and Slaten Jenkins. Great Grandchildren Trenton Davis, Arrie Miller, David Lasco III and Elijah Reaves.
