Esther Rubin Wall, passed away on October 1, 2023 in Houston, Texas. She was born in New York, New York, on May 13, 1925, to Eli and Ruth Rubin. Esther was raised in Hallettsville, TX. She married Edward L. Wall of Brooklyn, New York in 1946 and they settled in Hallettsville.   They were married for 56 years until Ed passed away in 2002.

In 1954, with three children in tow, Ed and Esther decided to move to Austin, TX for Ed to pursue his dream of becoming a doctor.  Following medical school in Galveston, TX, they settled in Houston, TX in 1960 where they raised their family.

Esther is survived by her children Sheila Wall Bell, Rosalyn Wall Wylie and Laurence and Angel Wall. Her grandchildren Ben and Katie Wylie, Grant and Hailey Wylie and Rachel and Jonathan Schrock. Her great grandchildren Jacqueline and Hayley Wylie, Ellis Esther, Meyer and Edie Wylie and James Edward Schrock.  Her brother and sister-in-law Sylvan and Reba Rubin and sister-in-law Samy Lou Rubin.  She also is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Wall, parents Eli and Ruth Rubin, sisters and brothers-in-law, Annette and Bill Gedaly, Martha Lea and Albert Stein and brother Norman Rubin.

Her service will be Sunday at 2:00 PM with visitation starting at 1:00 pm at Klein Funeral Home, 16131 Champion Forest Drive, Spring 77379, with Rabbi Marshal Klaven officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or JDRF Diabetes Foundation.
