Esther Lucille Phillips was born in Benkelman, Nebraska on October 25, 1940, and passed away in Spring, Texas on May 21, 2025.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Jackson C. Hawkins; her second husband, Clyde Lee Phillips; parents, Frank and Ina Whitney; and brothers, Delbert Whitney and Stanley Whitney.

Esther is survived by her children, Barry Hawkins, Michelle Thiry and husband Eric, and Jon Hawkins and wife Allison; daughter-in-law, Jackie Hawkins; grandchildren, Jason Sodaro and wife Rebeca, Whitney Pape and husband Justin, Matthew Thiry, Jackson Hawkins, Alyssa Broxson and husband Zack, Kyle Hawkins, Julie Hawkins, Callie Hawkins, and Emily Hawkins; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Logan, and Cullen; and siblings, Ronnie Whitney, Wayne Whitney, Twila Clark, and Mary Ann Johnson.

Visitation will be held from 5:30-7:30pm on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 W. Main, Tomball, TX 77375.  A funeral service for Esther will be held at 10am on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at Klein Funeral home Tomball, to be immediately followed by a committal service in Klein Memorial Park on FM 2920.  The funeral service can be viewed live by clicking HERE.
