Esther Patricia Marie Elieff, 71, of Tomball, Texas, passed away April 9th, 2024, after a two year battle with cancer.

Tricia is survived by her husband, Boris Elieff; daughter, Brandee Elieff; granddaughter Remington Elieff; brother Ancil Dunbar; sister-in-law Vivian; as well as many extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Vernie Marie Dunbar (Soare); father George Darwin Dunbar; brother and his wife Darwin and Eileen Dunbar; brother Derald Dunbar and sister-in-law, Gena Dunbar.

Tricia was born August 31st, 1952, in Enderby, Canada to Vernie and George Dunbar. They moved around a lot as she was growing up and she became very adept at adjusting to new places. When she was 16, she struck out on her own and held a variety of jobs and careers in bookkeeping, office management, and private investigation before settling into public relations.

While living with her brother, Darwin, in Dawson Creek, British Columbia, she met Boris. The two were married in 1980 and they kicked off new careers in the Oil & Gas Industry. In 1982, they welcomed their only child, Brandee.

Working in the Oil & Gas industry, they began to travel extensively internationally and ultimately lived on 6 continents throughout her lifetime. She enjoyed travel, experiencing the cultures and arts of other places and meeting new people. She used to joke that she could bargain and shop in any language. She really enjoyed the opportunity to live and visit places and the only thing left on her travel list was a cruise in Alaska.

In 1990, Tricia, Boris and Brandee made Houston their home base and she whole-heartedly embraced returning to her American roots and to becoming a Texan. She continued her career in various Public Relations roles, and ultimately retired early to focus on supporting her husband and daughter in their career endeavors.

During this time, she was instrumental in helping, supporting, mentoring and encouraging numerous family members and friends. Her infectious and caring personality was impactful on everyone around her. She celebrated the accomplishments of others, and many say they would not have achieved as much as they did, without her in their lives.

In 2018, she welcomed her granddaughter, Remington, who was a constant fixture in her life and one of her greatest adventures.

The family invites you to her Celebration of Life (colorful attire welcome) which will be held Friday, May 10th at 2pm at the Klein Funeral Home, 1400 W Main Street, Tomball, TX with Minister Sammy Crosby officiating.
