Esther Soledad Montoto Cimadevilla, 88, of Tomball, TX, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2023, after a three-year battle with breast cancer. She was born on July 5, 1935, in Oviedo Asturias, Spain the only child of Emilio Montoto and Emilia Ricca Ricord Montoto.

Esther immigrated to Cuba as a young girl and graduated from El Colegio Teresiano (Christian High School) in Havana, Cuba with a degree in Secretarial Studies. Whilst in Cuba, she married Antonio Cimadevilla, in Havana on July 18, 1954. Soon after they were blessed with two beautiful daughters. In 1961, Esther and Antonio made the brave choice to immigrate to the United States, leaving everything they knew behind. They made a new home in New Orleans, LA where they completed their family with a baby boy in 1963. To continue her education, Esther attended the University of Tulane, New Orleans, and then began a career as an ESL teacher with the New Orleans parish school district for twenty years. Esther found great joy in the arrival of each of her five granddaughters - to whom she bestowed unique nicknames. She recalls in travel journals left behind how blessed she felt to travel the world and see so many places such as Spain, Bulgaria, England, and Austria.

After retirement, Esther and Antonio moved to Tomball, Texas where they were blessed with seven great-grandchildren. Esther enjoyed life most when sewing and crafting, playing games, and singing songs to her great-grandchildren who also received individual nicknames that were special to her experience with them. In 2021 she wrote her autobiography called "Three Countries One Soul" for her family and friends to enjoy her life story forever.

Esther was predeceased by her husband of sixty-six years, Antonio Zacharia Cimadevilla. She is survived by her three children, Susana Perez and husband, Lazaro "Mike" Perez; Hortense Stetler; and Anthony "Tony" Cimadevilla. Esther was blessed to leave behind 5 granddaughters, Christina Petrovski and husband, Dimitar Petrovski; MaryAnne Natale; Amanda Perez; Alyssa Simmons and husband, Barnaby Simmons; Abby Cimadevilla, and seven great-grandchildren, Sebastian Petrovski; Mateo Petrovski; Dominic Petrovski; Gabriel Natale; Autumn Natale; Jude Simmons and Iris Simmons.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, from 5-8 pm at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 W. Main, Tomball, TX 77375.
