Ernesto was the cherished son of the late Ernesto Sr. and Victorina Garcia. He was preceded in death by his dear brother, Lino (Herminia) Garcia, and his beloved sister, Guadalupe 'Honey' Alicia Garcia. He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Dalia Garcia, who stood by his side since their marriage on June 27, 1970, in Beeville, TX. Together, they built a loving home and raised two wonderful children, Ernesto Garcia III and Patricia Garcia, in Corpus Christi, TX before retiring to Tomball, TX.

Ernesto grew up in Kingsville, TX before the family moved to Corpus Christi for his high school years. His educational journey led him to W.B. Ray High School where he graduated with fond memories and lifelong friendships. His love of music that he cultivated in high school was something he shared with his kids.  Ernesto's career as a machinist spanned over 20 years at PPG and Southwestern Refinery, where he was respected not only for his skill and dedication but also for the kindness and generosity he shared with his colleagues. Ernesto was the first hispanic to get his machinist certification at the refinery.

Outside of work, Ernesto found joy and fulfillment in riding motorcycles, a passion that brought him freedom and adventure. He spent countless hours in his garage, where his talented hands and creative mind turned dreams into projects.   Each one was a testament to his meticulous nature and vibrant spirit. Ernesto also weight trained constantly and learned to bowl in the later part of his life.  If the TV was on, chances were that he was watching a western.

In addition to his wife and children, Ernesto is survived by his loving siblings Dolores 'Lola' (Gregorio) Garcia and Diana (Alonzo) Delgado, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with their brother. His legacy of love, humor, and integrity will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who knew him as a pillar of strength and a source of unwavering support.

Ernesto's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and perseverance. He touched the lives of many, and his absence is profoundly felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In accordance with his family's wishes, a Celebration of Life event will be held to honor Ernesto's life and legacy, date to be announced.

As we bid farewell to Ernesto Garcia Jr., let us celebrate a life well-lived and a soul that brought light to the lives of those around him. May he rest in eternal peace, forever remembered and deeply missed.
