Erika Wann departed this life on Tuesday, September 5, 2017.  She was born September 7, 1927 in Bigelow, Arkansas to Ernst and Beta Mohrle Finkbeiner who immigrated from Obertal, Germany to the US through Ellis Island in October 1926.  Her young years were spent in Little Rock, Arkansas.  She moved to Houston in 1947 where she spent the rest of her life.

Erika's worth ethic was unending. She worked in the oil and gas industry in the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's. She was a corporation officer and bookkeeper for French Well Survey, Inc. from 1965 – 1990 and was part owner, Secretary and Treasurer of CRH Corporation.  During those years she worked along the side of C. J. Pinner, Independent Oil Operator. Also, she was past President of The Desk and Derrick Club of Bellaire (women who worked in the oil industry) in 1986.  In her spare time, she was a Mary Kay consultant in the 70's and 80's and part of the 90's.  In 1995, she went to work for H & R Block as a Tax Preparer in their Heights office and retired at the age of 86 after 22 years of service.  During that time, she also became an Enrolled Agent (EA) with the IRS.

Erika was an avid fan of the Houston Rockets and Astros and loved watching Fox News, talking politics, stocks, always reading and finding more ways to learn.  She was a very intelligent, headstrong, independent and generous lady who loved her family unconditionally.  In the last three weeks of her life she enjoyed playing and loving her grand puppy, Toby.  Her family and friends will miss her dearly.

Erika was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Carl Finkbeiner, Little Rock, Arkansas.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Harry Bradley, Houston, her granddaughter, Melissa Bradley and fiancé Robert Hickman and his children, Caroline, Andrea, Wyatt and Garrett, Houston, her sisters, Betty Dinwiddie, Hot Springs, Arkansas, Carolyn Shepard, Sheridan, Arkansas, her nephew and niece, Steve and Sharon Dinwiddie, Hot Springs, Arkansas her grandnephews Christopher Dinwiddie and family, Fayetteville, Arkansas and Brandon Dinwiddie and family, Dallas.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 1:00 PM and funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 West Main, Tomball, TX.  Pastor John Cain officiating.
