Obituary

Eric Andrew Krueger, beloved son, brother, husband, father and friend passed away on June 30, 2022, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near his home in Spring, Texas. He was 47 years old.

Born in Houston Texas to Joy and Mark Krueger on November 15, 1974. Eric attended Klein High School, where he earned varsity letters in baseball and football, member of Good Sportsmanship League, and National Honor Society. He was a member of the graduating class of 1993.

It was during his Junior year at Klein that he met the love of his life, Ashlee Burns Krueger. After graduation, he joined Ashlee at The University of Texas in Austin, Texas. He was awarded a BS in Journalism in 1997. In March of 1998, Eric and Ashlee were married in Houston, Texas.

Eric and Ashlee continued their lives together in the Medical Center area of Houston, Texas. In January of 2004, Eric and Ashlee were blessed with the arrival of Kiley Grace, their first daughter and returned to the Klein area. Their family grew in love and size in April of 2006 with the birth of Aubrey Paige. Eric was a man's man but an even better girl dad. Nothing brought him more joy than watching his girls grow and celebrating their accomplishments.

Eric joined Edelman PR Worldwide as a Marketing and PR Account Manager. He then continued his career at Shandwick International in a similar role. BMC Software and Hewlett-Packard Enterprise were the next stops on his career path. In 2014, Eric joined Double D Industries LLC, as Project Manager. Eric flourished in this position using his engaging personality and passion for work and life. "He was a winner from the start. A huge asset to the organization." Eric showed kindness and love to everyone along the way, building great friendships that he always held dear.

Eric's greatest gift was his ability to form friendships wherever he went. From childhood days to adulthood, his friends all knew his contagious smile and vibrant personality. "Eric was fiercely loyal…to his family, to his friends he made along the way, and above all else, to Ashlee and the girls."

From a very early age, Eric was attracted to all sports. He was always the consummate competitor. His competitive spirit showed in his "nervous pacing" during critical moments for his beloved Longhorns to his girls on the court to his Houston teams.

Eric devoted his time to Faithbridge Church and other organizations in the Spring Klein community.

Eric is lovingly remembered by his wife of 24 years, Ashlee Burns Krueger; Daughters Kiley and Aubrey Krueger; mother, Joyce Kakacek Krueger; father, Mark Paul Krueger; sister, Allison Krueger Carroll; mother in law, Pamela Stratton Burns; father in law, Rexford John Burns; brothers in law, John Burns and Daniel Carroll; nieces, Haley Madeline Erickson and Sydney Kate Carroll; nephew, Kasen Mateo Burns.
