Eric 'Rick' Rendall was born June 3, 1958 in Closter, New Jersey. He graduated from Spring High School in 1976, where he met the love of his life, Karen. He then worked his way through DeVry Tech at Dallas Auto Parts and upon graduation, returned to Houston. Rick's first job after college was with Unicopy where he met several people who would become lifelong friends. From there he worked at Savin, Ricoh, Ikon, and finally at Seamless Solutions, LLC. At Ricoh, where he spent most of his career, he received the first Presidential Award given by the company. His response: "I was just trying to do my job the best I can" and that was exactly who Rick was with everything he did. That simple phrase captures Rick to a tee: Straightforward, easy, and uncomplicated. Rick always wanted to do his best at everything and his dedication towards his family and friends was a characteristic everyone saw in him.

Rick and Karen were inseparable for 43 years. He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. Rick had a love for all things outdoors, especially anything that got him out on a lake. If he wasn't on a lake, you can bet he was still outside on the back patio in his chair cheering on all of his favorite teams. Especially his son's team, the fighting Texas Aggies. Perhaps most of all, Rick loved cars. His love for all muscle cars was obvious to anyone who knew him for years or just met him. His first was a 1967 Camaro which he replaced with a 1969 Camaro and later in life he would acquire a 1987 Mustang LX. His attitude? If it doesn't have a stick, why bother? He was a tinkerer like his father at heart, where he always preferred to be working with his hands. He was a great listener and found it almost natural to think out of the box. Rick had a very easy going personality and loved to laugh and share jokes with friends and loved ones. Just ask any one of us about the Christmas gag gifts he loved giving. That laughter is noticeably gone but will never be forgotten in our memories. And did anyone mention food or a good craft beer?

Rick left us at the all too young age of 64 after a fierce brief battle with cancer. He will be missed by all who knew him for the kind hearted soul he was and lived by the Rendall's family crest, "Deo Dante dedi" (God having given, I gave).

Rick is survived by his wife, Karen Rendall; son, Ryan (Tory) Rendall; Brothers Marc (Carol) and Gary (Marilynn) Rendall; Sister Karen (Mutt) Pair; and many nieces and nephews he held dear to his heart.
