Eric Raymond Borsheim, 72, died September 8, 2018, with his family by his side in Houston, Texas.
Mr. Borsheim was born August 11, 1946, in San Antonio, Texas, to Dr. Raymond S. and Marjorie Bloom Borsheim.
He attended Keystone School in San Antonio, Texas, and continued his education at Michigan State University. After a few cold winters, he decided his Texas blood was more suited for warmer climates and returned to complete his undergraduate degree and obtain his juris doctorate at the University of Texas at Austin.
He began his career in law as a criminal defense attorney and later transitioned into bankruptcy where he found his calling. He continued to practice for 38 years and was well respected within the legal community. He retired in 2011.
Mr. Borsheim had many interests outside of practicing law, which included car restoration, hunting, wildlife conservation and spending time with his girls. As a father of four daughters, he was both the luckiest man alive and possibly the busiest. He enjoyed spending weekends at the ranch and watching sunsets in Rockport.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda Stetson Borsheim, his daughter, Kelly Borsheim Morgan and husband, Bennett John Morgan currently residing in Shenzhen, China; his daughter, Lauren Borsheim Sheehan and husband, Connor Gordon Sheehan of Dallas, Texas; daughter, Erin Borsheim Daniel and husband, Gregory Tillman Daniel Jr. of Austin, Texas; and daughter, Kathryn Grace Borsheim Barsuhn and husband, Rodrick Scott Barsuhn of Las Vegas, Nevada; grandchildren Taylor Claire Morgan, Halle Grace Morgan, Hayes Bennett Morgan, Grayson Cole Sheehan, Grady Tillman Daniel, and Mason Raymond Daniel; brothers Michael L. Borsheim and wife, Michelle Borsheim of San Antonio, Texas, and John T. Borsheim of Austin, Texas; and nephews, Shawn Borsheim of San Antonio, and Derek Borsheim and wife Alma Borsheim of Austin, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Raymond S. Borsheim and Marjorie Bloom Borsheim.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, September 13th at 4:00p.m. at Calvary Episcopal Church, 603 Spring Street in Bastrop, Texas. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org .
