Emery Grace Crabtree was the best surprise of our lives when she came into the world on Oct. 12, 2023. She was a tiny 2 lbs. 6 oz. and was 14.5 inches long and was a tiny ball of loose skin and fuzzy blond hair. We owe many thanks to the staff at Christus Santa Rosa in San Antonio for their unwavering support and relentless care while Emery was in the nicu for her first 2 months of life, particularly nurses Bailey and Melissa. We also owe many thanks to the Ronald Mcdonald House for giving Adriana a place to stay while Emery was recovering. Baby Emery was finally able to come home on Dec. 21, 2023, just in time for Christmas. She was welcomed by Nonnie Carolyn, Grandpa John, and her Aunts and Uncles and Hershey, the family dog. She quickly adjusted and became a constant fixture in the hustle and bustle of our busy lives. She loved baths, walks with her mama and Alice, sitting outside, her pink llama, her play mat, and visits to Aunt Margie's. She ESPECIALLY loved anything with a mirror. The only time she was ever upset was when she was laying down and couldn't see what was happening around her. Unfortunately and unexpectedly, she was called home to heaven on April 18, 2024. She was preceded in death by Grandma Alice Joyce Carmouche and Grandpa Henry 'Buddy' Carmouche, Grandfather Clinton Graham and Grandpa Craig Crabtree. She is survived by her mother- Adriana Crabtree, father- Cody Graham, grandparents- John and Carolyn Sommar, and Becca Graham, and Aunts and Uncles- Alice, Johnny, Avery, and James Sommar and Uncle Weston Graham. Pallbearers will be John Sommar, Johnny Sommar, Jenn Klase, Alice Sommar, Weston Graham and Cain Cox. It gives us great comfort to imagine her in the arms of the Virgin Mary. In our arms for a short while, in our hearts forever. Rest in Peace baby Emery.
