Elsie Patricia (Pat) Mynatt was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.  She journeyed to the Rainbow Bridge on October 8, 2022, at the age of 85 where she was welcomed by her canine children and her beloved Fred.

She was born to Porter and Margaret Lady on February 27, 1937, in Eddyville, KY.  After graduating Oldham County High School, Pat graduated in 1958 from Norton Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Louisville, KY.  She proudly embarked on a 40-year Nursing career with her last 16 years being as an ER Nurse at Tomball Regional Hospital.

1958 was also the year that she married Frederick Kenneth Mynatt.  Fred was in the US Army and this journey required that they to move every three years with the highlights being two tours in Germany.  Together they had two boys – Frederick Jr. and Michael Patrick.  They have six grandchildren – Lauren, Stacey, Kenneth, Christopher, Sydney, and Conner.   Pat is survived by her brother Porter and her sister Cindy.

Pat loved spending time in the kitchen, both cooking and baking with her Rum cakes achieving cult status among her friends.  She was happiest with family and friends gathered around her table.

Upon retirement from Nursing, Pat enjoyed gardening on their small farm in Normangee, TX.  In 2006, she attempted to provide a voice for the middle class with a run for US Congress.

Following her beloved Fred's passing in 2017, she moved to Katy, TX where she has called Oak Park Retirement Resort home for the past ~4.5 years.

A Family & Friends funeral service will be held on October 18, 2022.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local Humane Society.
