Elsie Marie Wilson, 88, of Houston, TX, passed peacefully on March 17, 2023 after a long battle with dementia. She was born on March 4, 1935 to Francis and Minnie McLean in Barry, TX and was the third of seven children.

She graduated from Robert E. Lee High school in Baytown, TX in 1953, and was raised in a farming family during the great depression. She moved to Waco, TX and worked as a bookkeeper at the Roosevelt Hotel where she met the love of her life Billy Joe Wilson. They married in 1953 and together had three children Billy, Judy and Nancy. She and Bill had a long and happy life together up until his death in 2011.

Elsie loved life and enjoyed gardening, reading, dancing and spending time with family. She was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed beyond words.

In addition to her parents, Elsie is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Wilson; brothers Bobby and Johnny Mclean; and sisters Frances Stevens and Sue Mclean. She is survived by her children, Billy Wilson and wife Yolanda, Judy Tobias and husband Mike, Nancy Wilson; grandchildren, Ashley Duhon and husband Austin, Lindsay Underwood and husband Neal, Michael Tobias and wife Carrie, Jenna Burrow and husband Dillan; great-grandchildren, Rudder, Brady and Cannon Duhon, Drew and Owen Underwood, Lyla and Madi Burrow, Colt and Casey Tobias; sisters Marjorie Wilson and Wanda Irish; sister- in- law Karen McLean; as well as many nieces and nephews.
