Ellie Doyle Vanderpool , 69, of Boston, Massachusetts, passed away at home in Spring, TX on August 6, 2025. Ellie was born to Ellen Mary Hayes Doyle and Joseph Doyle on October 13,1955. She grew up with two brothers, Joey Doyle and Jerry Doyle. Ellie also claimed a third brother, Shephard Girion.
Ellie was the devoted mother of her daughter, Norine Vanderpool, mother in law to the "son she always wanted" Dylan Everett, and the proud grandmother of Stella and Nora Everett, who brought her endless joy. She shared a loving marriage with her late husband, Chuck Vanderpool, and dedicated much of her life to caring for her family, including her mother. Although only having one child, she was blessed with many nieces and nephews. Ellie and Chuck were named Godparents to Samuel Alexander.
In her early years, Ellie taught swimming, sharing her skills and patience with many young learners. She met her husband at Rockwell in California and then moved to Houston, TX to stay home with her daughter. She later worked as a teacher's aide in an elementary school, where her kindness and humor touched students and colleagues alike. Ellie also enjoyed pet sitting, as her deep love for animals was a constant thread in her life.
Ellie was a notoriously picky eater, loud sneezer, and Hallmark movie enthusiast. She loved taking trips back to California and New England to visit family and lifelong friends.
Ellie was at every dance recital, volunteered for every field trip, never broke promise, never told a secret, and maintained a lifelong unshakable presence of support for her daughter.
Although she didn't get near enough time with her granddaughters, she's at peace with the family and friends that passed before her.
We will be having a small private service at home in October and then will be spreading her ashes out in San Clemente, California next summer.
