Ellean Maness Etheridge was born on January 14, 1940 in Madisonville, Texas. She passed peacefully in her sleep on March 22, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones into the arms of her Lord & Savior.
Ellean grew up in Houston where she attended Milby High School. While there, she met and later married her husband of over 66 years, James, who survives her.
When her girls were little, she sewed their clothes as well as clothes for their Barbie dolls She was an excellent seamstress.
In 1972, she and James started their first company. The business proved to be very successful due to her innate ability to manage finances.
During her younger years, traveling was a favorite activity. She loved music and movies. The thing that she loved most was spending time with her family, being a Mom and a Mimi was the greatest joy of her life.
Although she did so without accolades or recognition, she supported various charities through monetary donations for many years.
She is survived by her husband, her three daughters, Mona Hickman, Karen Etheridge, and Leila Etheridge, 3 grandsons, 3 grandaughters, and 7 great grandchildren.
