Obituary

Ella Stivers was born on May 2nd, 1947, in Vienna, Austria. She was trained in Administration and employed by a pharmaceutical company, the Austrian Defense Department, the Japanese Embassy in Vienna, and finally by the Austrian Foreign Office, assigned to Berlin, Germany.

While on assignment in Berlin she met a young American GI serving in the US Air Force. Their relationship blossomed and resulted in marriage and a move to the United States. Ella rose to the challenges of living in a new country and raising a family. The marriage sustained well throughout a military and civilian career requiring several moves.

Unexpected medical developments have taken Ella from her loving family and friends far too soon. She leaves behind a devastated family, including a husband of 46½ years, three adult children (and spouses), and ten grandchildren.
