Ella Yvonne Preston

Ella Yvonne Preston, aged 89, of Tomball, Texas, peacefully departed this life on September 4, 2026. Born in Henderson, Texas, on June 27, 1937, she was the cherished daughter of John William and Ebie Sue Harkness.

A devoted daughter, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Yvonne touched the lives of her family with profound grace and affection.

Professionally, she was an accomplished businesswoman whose career commenced at the Houston Chronicle. For the majority of her life, she successfully co-owned and operated a laboratory glass enterprise alongside her late husband, earning the enduring respect and admiration of her employees, associates, and clientele.

Characterized by a radiant zeal for life and an innate thoughtfulness, Yvonne cultivated deep and lasting bonds with her friends and neighbors. In retirement, she embraced a quiet, purposeful life centered upon her family. Though modest in the expression of her beliefs, she was a woman of profound faith, whose daily walk was marked by steadfast kindness, compassion, and boundless humanity.

Her generous spirit and enduring commitment to the welfare of others will forever remain a cherished legacy in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Grandchildren: Tanya Pace, Tamra Compton (Kyle), Shelby Cerda (Omar), Stephen Koehler and Brian Koehler. Great Grandchildren: Tommy Adams, Patrick Michael Honea, Scarlett Yvonne Honea, Paige Woods, Ethan Peralta, Liam Edgar Peralta and Mateo Cerda.
