Elizabeth Ann Jones Livesay: A Life of Joy, Faithfulness, and Grace
September 28, 1947 – October 11, 2026
On October 11, 2026, Elizabeth Ann Livesay stepped peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ at the age of 79.
Ann was born on September 28, 1947, the first of five children of Thomas W. and Leona Dickerson Jones. She grew up in Houston, Texas where she was part of the first graduating class of Spring Woods High School. Ann went on to attend Baylor University where her love for music and people flourished. While at Baylor, she sang in the BRH Choir, was a member of the Athenian sorority, and earned her degree in music education. Perhaps the greatest gift of her time at Baylor was meeting the love of her life, Robert “Bobby” Livesay. The two married in 1970, beginning a beautiful life together rooted in faith, love, and a calling to serve the Lord together.
In 1977, the Livesay’s moved to Spring, Tx to lead and be a part of founding Northwest Bible Church in Spring, Texas, where they faithfully served together for 25 years. During that time, Ann poured her time and heart into the lives of others. From directing numerous children and youth musicals, building a thriving women’s ministry, writing and teaching countless Bible studies, and especially mentoring young mothers, her joy was to be used as a vessel by the Lord to impact lives. After their time at Northwest Bible Church, Ann and Bob joined East-West Ministries to continue their passion and calling of equipping pastors and pastors’ wives as a team. For the next 15 years, Ann traveled across the globe teaching and discipling pastors' wives. During these seasons of ministry and raising their family, a foundational piece of their lives and family developed with the partnership they had with Pine Cove Family Camps. Every summer, Ann and Bob would go on to coteach on Christ centered marriage and parenting while their kids would be ministered to, mentored, and loved. The 40 year relationship with Pine Cove remains a passion today through her children and grandchildren as they continue to serve the Lord there.
As much as Ann loved serving others, her greatest treasure was serving her husband and raising her family. She created a home that reflected her character—one filled with joy, laughter, music, and a love for the Lord. The countless times around the piano with Ann playing and her kids in three part harmony were always some of her sweetest memories. From the Klein Bearkats, to the Baylor Bears, she was an avid sports fan, but her greatest sports devotion was to her Houston Astros. She truly loved them through every season, thick and thin, there was no fair-weather in her heart. She loved life and embraced the simple joys of being with those she loved. Ann’s favorite time away was simply floating the Frio River at Garner State Park with her family, where relationships and conversations brought life to all.
Ann’s anchor and lifelong prayer was from Psalm 71:18 “And even when I’m old and gray, O Lord, do not forsake me until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to all who are to come.”
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas W. Jones and Leona Dickerson Jones, and her infant grandson, John Caleb Livesay.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dr. Robert “Bob” Livesay; their three children and their spouses, and 8 grandchildren: Reed and Julie Livesay and their children, Conner Livesay and his wife, Samantha and Emily Van Patten and her husband, Graham; Laura (Livesay) and Howard Crutsinger and their children, Cooper, Benjamin, and Cole; Stephen and Jenise Livesay and their children, Hudson, Major, and Griffin.
She is also survived by her siblings, Tom Jones, Bruce Jones, Susan Burchfield, and Dwight Jones.
Please join us as we celebrate Ann’s life, faith, and legacy.
