Elizabeth B. Carrillo entered the arms of the Lord on October 27, 2021. She was surrounded with love by her family during her last moments and remained strong in her faith until the very end.

Elizabeth was born on May 1, 1975, to Primitivo and Elena Marquez in Puebla, Mexico. Her humble beginnings never deterred her from showing kindness to everyone she met, and her loving smile was always extended to all regardless of who they were. From an early age, she was loved and respected by all her siblings and created bonds with friends that to this day remain unbroken.

Elizabeth married her husband (Simon Carrillo) on June 3, 2000 and loved him dearly for 21 years. After getting married, the two of them would travel to Frederick, Maryland where they lived there until October of 2001. During these years, their love for each other flourished and grew more and more. Due to Simon's military orders, he and Elizabeth returned to Houston and there she gave birth to their first-born son, Isaac Jeremiah Carrillo. Being back home and enjoying the family support, she then gave birth to her second son, Jacob Isaiah Carrillo.

In 2005, she and her family would travel across the Pacific to Marine Corps Air Station, Iwakuni, Japan. Elizabeth and her family would live there for almost three years enjoying the military life and the Japanese culture. Here, she involved herself with church ministry by serving as a Sunday school teacher and singing in the praise and worship team.

In 2008, after completing their overseas tour, she and her family returned to Houston. Elizabeth chose to be a stay at home mom while Simon was on recruiting duty for the Marines. Elizabeth did an amazing job raising her two sons to be strong and God-fearing. She was also a strong mentor and exemplary role model for church members, friends, and family on how to serve God whole-heartedly.

In 2011, Elizabeth and her family took the opportunities to be stationed in San Diego and Camp Pendleton, California. While living in California, Elizabeth and her family would have the opportunity to live aboard the Marine Corps Air Station, Escondido, and Temecula. This time-span of six years and eight months would bring many challenging and pleasant experiences. As the wife of a Marine, she sometimes faced the challenge of upholding her household single handedly as her husband trained and was deployed overseas to areas she could not follow. Through these times, she continued to place her trust in the Lord.

In 2017, she and her family would depart California and close the chapter of military life. They would transition and retire from the Marine Corps officially in December of 2017. Upon returning to Houston, her family was received with open arms by her friends and loved ones. They would settle and become members of a church named Jesus King of Kings. Elizabeth quickly commenced working, involving herself with the church ministry. She would become a Senior Leader and a member of the praise and worship team. During this short time span, she was instrumental spiritually in being a fortress of help for the Pastoral family, her family and the church members.

Elizabeth was a devoted friend, daughter, sister, wife, and mother. She lived an exemplary life and demonstrated to many how to truly serve God. Following in the footsteps of Jesus and with the guidance of her parents, her love was unconditional. She was truly in love with her Lord and Savior and displayed that love with everyone that encountered her. Her passing has left a deep void in people's hearts and her work in the ministry for the Lord has left a great impact. These blessings will be felt for many years to come. Her unconditional love, ability to see the best in everyone, and unfailing support helped so many realize their potential and grow in wisdom, maturity, and love of the Lord.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Simon Carrillo, and sons Isaac J. Carrillo and Jacob I. Carrillo.

The visitation will be held from 5pm to 8pm on Monday, November 8, 2021 at Klein Funeral Home in Tomball. Funeral services will be held at 9:30am to 11am on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Klein Funeral Home in Tomball. Burial will follow at Houston National Cemetery for family only. Pastor Edwin Bello will officiate.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

Elizabeth nació el 1 de mayo de 1975 de Primitivo y Elena Márquez en Puebla, México. Sus humildes comienzos nunca la disuadieron de mostrar bondad a todos los que conocía, y su sonrisa amorosa siempre se extendió a todos, independientemente de quiénes fueran. Desde temprana edad fue amada y respetada por todos sus hermanos y creó lazos con amigos que hasta el día de hoy permanecen intactos.

Elizabeth se casó con su esposo (Simon Carrillo) el 3 de Junio de 2000 y lo amó profundamente durante 21 años. En 2017, ella y su familia dejarían California y cerrarían el capítulo de la vida militar. Harían la transición y se retirarían oficialmente de los Marines en Diciembre de 2017. Al regresar a Houston, sus amigos y seres queridos recibieron a su familia con los brazos abiertos. Se asentarían y se convertirían en miembros de una iglesia llamada Jesús Rey de Reyes. Elizabeth rápidamente comenzó a trabajar, involucrándose en el ministerio de la iglesia. Ella se convertiría en una lider siendo Servidora y miembro del equipo de alabanza y adoración. Durante este corto período de tiempo, ella jugó un papel decisivo espiritualmente en ser una fortaleza de ayuda para la familia pastoral, su familia y los miembros de la iglesia.

Elizabeth era una devota hija, hermana, esposa, madre y amiga. Vivió una vida ejemplar y demostró a muchos cómo servir verdaderamente a Dios. Siguiendo los pasos de Jesús y con la guía de sus padres, su amor fue incondicional. Ella estaba verdaderamente enamorada de su Señor y Salvador y mostró ese amor con todos los que la conocieron. Su fallecimiento ha dejado un profundo vacío en el corazón de las personas y su trabajo en el ministerio para el Señor ha dejado un gran impacto. Estas bendiciones se sentirán durante muchos años. Su amor incondicional, su capacidad para ver lo mejor en todos y su apoyo inquebrantable ayudaron a muchos a darse cuenta de su potencial y crecer en sabiduría, madurez y amor por el Señor.

A Elizabeth le sobreviven su esposo, Simon Carrillo, y sus hijos Isaac J. Carrillo y Jacob I. Carrillo, sus padres, sus hermanos y hermanas.

La visita se llevará a cabo de 5 p.m. a 8 p.m. el Lunes 8 de Noviembre de 2021 en Klein Funeral Home en Tomball. Los servicios funerarios se llevarán a cabo de 9:30 am a 11 am el Martes 9 de Noviembre de 2021 en Klein Funeral Home en Tomball. Seguirá el entierro en el Cementerio Nacional de Houston solo para la familia. El pastor Edwin Bello oficiará.
