Elizabeth "Liz" Ann (Freeman) Hill went to her Heavenly home May 29, 2023. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Liz was a beloved mother and grandmother who will be remembered for her faith in the Lord, her love for her family, and her fiery spirit.

Liz was born September 24, 1939, in Jonesville, Louisiana, and grew up on her family's farm there. They say dynamite comes in small packages and that was Liz. She never let her small stature hold her back or determine her course and she was a force to be reckoned with. Liz worked as hard as she loved and was fiercely independent. In 1964, she moved to Houston, Texas, and went on to have a distinguished career at Transcontinental Gas Pipeline, which later became The Williams Group, where she worked for over 40 years.

Liz had a passion for her relationship with the Lord that truly shaped the way she lived her life. She learned to play the piano at a young age and played the piano and/or organ at the churches she attended for many years. Liz was very active in the choir at Champion Forest Baptist Church where she was a member for over 30 years.

She loved her family dearly and was a devoted mother and very involved and doting grandmother. She loved hosting Sunday School class parties and holidays at her home as well as cooking her family's favorite dishes, including some new recipes that her family will never forget. She was a bit stubborn, well perhaps more than a bit, but that feisty spirit made her a strong woman who shaped the lives of those around her and who will be greatly missed.

Liz had boundless energy and participated in her neighborhood associations, gardening clubs, and other hobbies throughout most of her life. She enjoyed working with her hands and made many pieces of pottery, cookbooks, and scrapbooks that became cherished gifts for her family and friends.

Liz was preceded in death by her father, Hugh Lowery Freeman, mother Willie Alice Freeman, and brother, Curtis Freeman. She is survived by daughters Lisa Saint and husband David of Tomball, Texas, and Rhonda Fowler and husband Mark of Ovilla, Texas; grandchildren Dustin White and wife Mandi of Tomball, Texas, Donya Dahmann and husband Chris of Tomball, Texas, Haley Baldwin and husband Bryan of Dallas, Texas, Melissa Fowler of Washington, DC, and Mark Fowler II of Chicago, Illinois; great-grandchildren Evangeline and Georgia White, Charlotte and Dean Dahmann, and Eliana, Lucy, and Deacon Baldwin; brother Clark Freeman of Jonesville, Louisiana; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A visitation will be held Thursday, June 1 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Klein Funeral Home in Tomball, 1400 W Main St, Tomball, TX 77375. There will be a visitation time on Friday morning at 9:00 Friday, June 2, followed by a funeral service to celebrate Liz's life at 10:00 am, at the Champion Forest Baptist Church Chapel at 15555 Stuebner Airline Rd, Houston, TX 77069.

In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Liz may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the charity of your choice.
