Elbert Clem Bollinger, age 85, was born on October 14, 1940 in Houston, Texas and passed peacefully on May 29, 2026 in The Woodlands, Texas.

Elbert was preceded in death by his parents, William Thomas Bollinger and Viola Frances Perkins, brothers; Robert Chesser and Delter Chesser and daughter, Melissa Bollinger.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Rebecca Bollinger, daughter, Michele Bollinger, son, Jason Bollinger; grandchildren, Kody Ellis (Beth), Courtney Young (Austin), and Dillon Ellis; great-grandchildren, Avery Ellis, Connor Ellis, and Koah Young; brothers, Walter Bollinger (Susan), and Albert Goldsmith (Janas); along with many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Elbert found great joy in life's simple pleasures—watching old westerns, tuning into church programming, and cheering on his favorite teams, the Houston Texans and Houston Astros. He cherished time spent with family and friends, enjoyed visiting with neighbors from the porch, and stayed closely connected with loved ones through frequent and meaningful phone calls.

He proudly served in the United States Army for five years. Following his military service, he dedicated 40 years of service as a mail handler with the United States Postal Service.

In Lieu of Flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in his memory.

A visitation will be held in the main chapel of Klein Funeral Home (1400 W. Main St. Tomball, TX 77375) on Friday, June 12, 2026 from 1:00 - 2:00 PM. The funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 PM.
