Elaine Hoffart

February 4, 1950 – September 15, 2026

Elaine Hoffart, 76, passed away on September 15, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, treasured memories, and a family who meant more to her than anything in the world.

Elaine was born on February 4, 1950, in Houston, Texas. As a teenager in high school, she met the love of her life, Lester Hoffart Jr. What began as a young love grew into a beautiful life together. Elaine and Lester were married for 55 years and together raised their three children, Travis, Tracie, and Troy. Through the years, they built a wonderful life centered around family, love, laughter, and countless memories.

Of all the things Elaine loved in life, nothing compared to her family. She treasured spending time with her children and grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to celebrate them. Whether it was an important milestone, a special occasion, a new adventure, or one of life's smaller moments, Elaine was there—proud, excited, and always ready to celebrate alongside the people she loved most. Their happiness was her happiness, and being part of their lives brought her immeasurable joy.

Elaine had a lifelong love of the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. She appreciated the simple pleasures of being outside and the memories made while sharing those experiences with the people she loved.

Elaine was also a beautician, a career she genuinely loved. For her, it was about much more than doing someone's hair. She enjoyed getting to know each of her clients, hearing about their lives, sharing stories, and forming friendships along the way. Her warm and outgoing personality made it easy for people to feel at home in her presence.

Elaine truly never met a stranger. She had a remarkable ability to connect with people and a big heart for helping others. If someone needed something and Elaine could help, she would. Her kindness was genuine, her generosity came naturally, and she never expected anything in return.

Those who knew Elaine will remember her for her big heart, her love of family, her willingness to help others, and the joy she found in sharing life's moments with the people around her.

Elaine is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Lester Hoffart Jr.; her children, Travis Hoffart and his wife, Elaine Hoffart; Tracie Galindo and her husband, David Galindo; and Troy Hoffart and his wife, Linda Hoffart. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Dustin Galindo, Dylan Galindo, and Kaitlyn Hoffart; her great-granddaughter, Kinley Galindo; her sisters, Lynette Martin and Michelle Polasek; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Elaine was preceded in death by her father, Wallace Bashinski; her mother, Virginia Bashinski; and her sister, Janice Drago.

After 55 years of marriage and a lifetime spent building a family together, Elaine leaves Lester with a lifetime of memories of the young girl he fell in love with all those years ago. She leaves her children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter with the example of a woman who showed them again and again that family was something to cherish, life's moments were worth celebrating, and there was always room in your heart to help someone else.

Elaine will be deeply missed, but the love she gave so freely will continue through the family she treasured and the many lives she touched.

Her memory will live on in every family gathering, every celebration, every story retold, every hunting or fishing trip, and every moment when those who loved her are reminded of the woman who was always there, ready to celebrate, ready to help, and, above all, ready to love.
