Elaine M.Ongman/Edstrom, 92, passed away peacefully Aug.24th, 2023. She was born in Portland, Oregon. She was a Lt. Navy Nurse, a Korean War Veteran, & a Civilian Nurse, a professional Actor, Executive Director, and notable Playwright.  Elaine held a BFA in Theatre, MFA in Directing, and performed in many stage productions, commercials and movies. She also was a wonderful Mother.
Her hobbies included Gardening, Needlepoint, Swimming and Reading, and belonged to The Order of Eastern Star.

Next of Kin is her Daughter, Nicole Sparks of Cord, AR., Brother and Sister-in-Law Dean and Carol Ongman of Magnolia, TX., 4 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren, numerous Nieces & Nephews, Cousins, & many Friends.

Private Ceremony will take place Fri. Sept 15th, 2023, at the Veterans Cemetery in Houston, TX.
