E. J. Emery Jr. passed away peacefully on June 5th, 2025. E. J. was born June 3rd, 1936, in Madill, Oklahoma to the late Elbert Emery and Ruth (Cooper) Emery.

He was an AirForce veteran where he was stationed at McGuire AFB near Trenton, N.J. This is where he met his wife Kathleen and enjoyed 44 years of marriage. E.J, was also a member of the Texas Air National Guard at Ellington AFB. Ultimately, he found his calling enjoying a career at NASA, where he was employed by United Space Alliance as a simulator control specialist training Astronauts for Space Shuttle missions.
E.J. retired in Mt. Ida, AR where he enjoyed woodworking in his shop, assisting and volunteering with various duties at Lake Quachita Baptist Church where he was a member.

E. J. is survived by his children, son, Scott (Linda) Emery, daughter, Sharon (Tony) Goodman; granddaughter, Jessica (Lennon) French, grandson, Austin (Mackenzie Beber) Emery, grandson, Bryce (Madison) Rainwater, grandson, Logan (Katy) Emery and great granddaughter, Eloise Emery.

Including his parents E. J. was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Emery and son, Christoper Allen Emery.

The family will receive visitors Tuesday, June 10th, 2025, from 5 PM to 8 PM at Klein Funeral Home, 16131 Champion Forest Dr. Spring, Texas 77375. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 11th, 2025, at 10 AM at Klein Funeral Home, 16131 Champion Forest Dr Spring, Texas. Graveside services to follow at Forest Park Cemetery Westheimer.

Serving as pallbearers are:
Scott Emery, Austin Emery, Logan Emery, Bryce Rainwater, Tony Goodman and Lennon French
