Edwin Olin Rains went home to his creator on Tuesday August 16, 2016. He was born on March 27, 1943 in Many, Louisiana to LaVerne and Bill Rains. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1960 and served his country until 1966.  He married Mary Kathryn Moran in 1967 and together they raised two sons, Jason and Kyle.  He enjoyed a successful forty year career with IBM retiring in 2006.  His many interests and hobbies included  fishing, remote control cars, and live steam and HO gauge trains.  He was preceded in death by his mother, LaVerne Stansbery  and his father Bill Rains. He is survived by his wife Mary Rains;  son, Jason Rains and wife Holly; son, Kyle Rains and wife Angel;  sister, Blanche Gafford;  brother, Gene Stansbery and wife Eileen;  grandson  Garrett Rains;  grand- daughter, Mina Hughes;  and numerous nephews, nieces and close friends.

Funeral  services will be at 10:00am Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Klein Funeral Home, 16131 Champion Forest Drive. Visitation will be held from 5pm to 8pm Friday, August 19 th at Klein Funeral Home.
