Edwin 'Ed' Pow passed away during March 2025 from a sudden cardiovascular-related issue at the age of 75. He is thought to have been preceded in death by his parents and is believed to still be survived by a sister in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and at least one of three uncles in Austin Texas.

Ed recounted having spent his childhood in Saint Paul, Minnesota, while his father was working for Honeywell's Aerospace Division. In their early lives, both his father and grandfather were cooks; his grandfather on the USS Galveston and his father on cargo vessels. Ed inherited their passion for cooking and sometime in the early 1970's moved to France to develop his craft. He would eventually end up studying under the now legendary Michelin 3-star chef, Michel Bas.

Sometime later that decade Ed decided to return to the University Of Minnesota where he entered their Aerospace School and obtained a PhD in Material Science. In the 1980's, 1990's, and 2000's, Ed traveled the world for various companies he worked for, including Electrolux and A.O. Smith. During this time period he lived in South Carolina, Georgia, California, and France. Around 2012 Ed moved to the energy capital of the world (Houston) where he joined the Supplier Quality Group at TechnipFMC before entering retirement in 2019.

Ed had the ability to remember everyone that he met and had an encyclopedic knowledge of food and cars from every corner of the earth. He also loved traveling and classical music, especially the piano. Ed led a life of high moral integrity and never attempted to burden anyone. He is remembered fondly by his friends and colleagues as we celebrate his entrance into heaven to sit alongside the angels and saints.
