Edwin Alexander Glaser, 80, of Houston, passed away on September 19, 2024.

Edwin was born on July 26, 1944, in Houston, Texas to Alexander David Glaser and Vivian Gertrude (Collins) Glaser. He was one of three children and the only son.

Edwin attended Sam Houston High School in Houston where he met the mother of his two sons. He was a very talented craftsman in the Houston area during his life and a member of the Carpenter's Local 213 (Carpenters & Millwrights of Houston). If a vehicle was not working, Edwin would take the vehicle completely apart to find the problem, then put the vehicle back together. This trait was passed on to his son Scott who restores classic vehicles. He loved to hunt and fish and everyone loved to hear all of his hunting and fishing stories, no matter how farfetched the stories seemed. The only opening day of deer season that Edwin missed was the day his son David was born. He has passed on his love for the outdoors to his sons and grandsons. Edwin loved everyone equally and wanted everyone to do the same.

He is survived by his sister Linda Eads of Spring, Texas, his sons, David Alexander Glaser and his wife Janie of Madisonville, Texas, and Scott Edwin Glaser and his wife Robin of Magnolia, Texas, 3 grandchildren Alexander (Alex) and his fiance Alyssa, Skyler, and Hunter, one great-grandchild, Brylee and step-grandson, Wyatt Albert, who he had a special relationship with.

Edwin is preceded in death by his father Alexander David Glaser, mother Vivian Gertrude Glaser, and sister Goldie Holladay.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, September 26th, from 5 pm to 8 pm at Klein Funeral Home, 16131 Champion Forest Drive, Spring, Texas 77379.
