Edwin Stephen Braziel beloved son, father, and grandfather went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday April 23, 2022 at the young age of 54.
He was born April 13, 1968 in Houston Texas to Donald and Bonita Braziel. He was residing in Magnolia Texas as the time of his passing. He is preceded in death by grandparents Frank and Mary Alice Braziel, Edwin and Dorothy Robinson, his father Donald Ray Braziel, and brother-in-law Robert Balloun.
Edwin is survived by his mother, Bonita; Brother, Aaron and wife Misty; Sister Stacey; Sister, Jodi and husband Mike; Daughter, Christina and husband Chris; Son, Jason and wife Shaeli; Son, Justin and wife ShelbyRae, two granddaughters Piper and Ellie-Grace, three nieces, five nephews, and three cousins.
As a teenager Edwin played baseball, a passion he shared with his late father but as he got older his love for racing shined through. Edwin loved his family dearly and shared a unique bond with all of his siblings but was especially close to his sister Stacey. He and his siblings grew up fishing on their daddy's boat, spending time in Freeport with their grandmother, hunting, and countless hours at the track fixing up his car for the next race. As a young adult he got his start in RC cars, moved into shifter karts in his late 20's, and finished his racing career driving baby grands (think of this as a ¼ scale NASCAR).
As an older adult Edwin loved taking the boat out and fishing with his kids and his nephews; but he loved spending time at the ballpark even more with his daughter and two sons. He was a proud father and would talk about his children and their accomplishments any time he had the chance but once his first granddaughter Piper came along, that was his favorite person to spend time with. She was his whole world and he often expressed that she was "his little buddy."
Edwin was a proud and loving man; he was loved by many and will be missed by many more.
