Obituary

Edward Charles Karkosky of Pinehurst, Tx. was born on July 5, 1933 in Emporium, PA.  He was the fifth child of twelve born to Louis and Mary Sushereba Karkosky.   He was 87 years old when he earned his wings on Oct. 13, 2020 in Houston, Tx.

He married the love of his life, Patricia in 1951.   They shared 59 years filled with blissful love before she earned her wings in 2011.   Together they raised two wonderful daughters Joan and Terrie.   Ed worked with Dresser Industries for 42 years before retiring.   He started at the bottom in the machine shop.  Many years of hard work and dedication paid off because he held the position of the General Manager with Dresser Industries when he retired in 1998.

He's loved by many remembered for his kind, gentle, loving personality, and sweet smile.   He loved God, his family, his country, the great state of Texas, Houston Astros, fishing at the lake, camping, Cherry vanilla Bluebell ice cream, meatloaf with mashed potatoes, John Wayne movies, hunting and telling LONG stories.  Mr. Fix It is what we called him because he could repair anything and everything.  He was a great mechanic and enjoyed working on his vehicles.

He is survived by his second wife Janice Karkosky; two daughters Joan Wilson (husband George) and Terrie Vernon (husband Gregg).  Four grandchildren; Deanna Wilson Grayson, JR Vernon, Chris Wilson and Crystal Vernon Grams.  Seven great grandchildren; Destiny Grayson, Amber Grayson, Brooke Vernon, Blake Vernon, Lance Grams, Levi Grams and Maverick Grams.   Six brothers; Louis Karkosky, Bob, Karkosky, Larry Karkosky, Bill Karkosky David Karkosky and Don Karkosky Three sisters; Mary Tabor. Daisy Conrad and Eleanor Muise.

He was preceded in death by his parents Louis & Mary Karkosky, 1 st wife Patricia Karkosky, great-grandson Christopher C. Wilson, sisters Shirley Geiger and Violet Baab.

Serving as pallbearers are JR Vernon, Chris Wilson, Jeff Grams, David Karkosky, Russ Muise and Charles Peterson.
