Edward Paul Frazier, Jr., 1945-2021, was known as Buster as a child and Paul to those who knew him as an adult.  Paul leaves in your care his wife Dianne, daughter Jennifer, step-children Maria and Nick, grand-children Jordan, Austin, Matthew, Mason, Josiah, Joseph, and Jonathan, as well as great-grandchildren Johanna, Malakai, and Xander.

Proud to be a 3 ^rd generation Houstonian, he was raised in the Heights and Jersey Village areas where he developed close family ties and deep, life-long friendships.  His main goals in life were to care for his family, help others, and make anyone and everyone laugh.  He had a quick and corny sense of humor, loved puns and could be as stubborn as a mule.

Above all, he loved God, family, friends and his country in that order.  He treasured time spent with his wife, his children and his wine, not always in that order.

Paul was an incurable romantic who considered his Friday night dinner dates with his wife almost sacred, was constantly thinking of his next coop, would tape love notes everywhere, was not above dragging flowers, candles, music, tablecloth and food to a public park as a surprise date.  He never considered anything too hard or crazy and once packed up his daughter and infant grandson to drive to St. Louis to have his Friday night date when a training class took Dianne away from Houston for 3 weeks.

An accomplished pianist, who favored David Lanz's music and style, Paul played with emotion and passion—he might even break an eardrum or two forgetting that his living room was not a concert hall.  Always a showman, once when pressured into to a shipboard talent competition, he sat down and played beautifully until halfway through the piece at which time he lost his concentration and fumbled.  He calmly turned to the audience, laughed and said "sorry about that" and continued to play.  Yes, he received a standing ovation and won not only many hearts but the competition as well.

Paul loved to cook almost as much as he loved to eat so, along with many other volunteers, he prepared meals for Foundry United Methodists Church's Alpha classes. Always one to feel if a little is good a lot is better, he also enjoyed preparing food to take to the Bear Creek Constable's office and praying over their prayer requests.

Having served in the U.S. Navy as a Communications Tech during the Vietnam era he ranked first in his class of 52 at Navel Communications School and had Top Secret Crypto clearance.  He served proudly at the Communications Station at Pearl Harbor and on the USS Constellation (an aircraft carrier).  After returning home, he continued to work in communications with a 31 year career with Bell Labs and its myriad subsequent names which finally became Lucent Technologies.

This service will be a true celebration of life and especially a celebration of his going home to Jesus.  His wife asks that it be a joyous time as if for a wedding because he is now part of the bridal party of Jesus.  It's okay to mourn the loss of his company, but not the loss of his life because he believed that Christ Jesus died and rose again to secure his place in heaven.
