Edward Lee Crump was born on March 29 th 1944 in Houston, Texas to William Pete Crump and LaVaughn Oliver Davis. He graduated from Garrison High School and after graduation joined the Army. He proudly served in Korea and Germany from 1964 through 1967. While in the Army he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, was an expert rifleman, and achieved the parachutist badge. He logged over one hundred jumps in his skydiving logbook. His eyesight and hearing kept him out of Vietnam, but he really wanted to go and serve his country. After the Army he married Mary Ann Weed and had two daughters Pamela and Kristie. They made a home in the suburb of Houston. He worked in the telephone business his whole career and made many lifelong friends and hunting buddies. As much as he loved to go hunting in Llano, he loved riding motorcycles of all kinds. In Llano he rode dirt bikes with his kids and loved teaching them to shoot all types of guns. Later in life he loved riding his Harley and enjoying motorcycle rallies with his friends. He enjoyed his four beautiful granddaughters Brooke, Elise, Carly, and Rachel. He will be missed and always in our hearts.
