Obituary

Earline Martha Heerssen Wachsmann was born on February 11, 1924, in Moulton, Texas. She was baptized on June 15, 1924, and confirmed on September 25, 1936, in the Freyburg Methodist Church in Freyburg, Texas. Her Bible verse was John 15:5. She was confirmed in the Lutheran church on April 18, 1943, at Trinity Lutheran Church in downtown Houston. Her Bible verse was Psalm 27:4.

Earline taught Sunday School for 18 years at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Houston, Texas. She served as Past President of the Ladies Aid at Trinity Lutheran Church in Klein, Texas. She also volunteered often at the Good Samaritan Thrift Store and also worked as a volunteer for 23 years at Houston Northwest Medical Center.

She married Adolph A. Wachsmann on June 5, 1943, and they were blessed with three children - Beverly Hintz and husband Gary, Rev. Adolph "Skip" III and wife Felicia, and Marsha Ganze and husband John.

Earline has 12 grandchildren - Lisa Hintz Quickel and husband Dale, Rev. Greg Hintz and wife Sara, Sarah Morrissey and husband Erik, Ryane Broussard and husband Blake, J.D. Ganze III and wife Rhani, Hannah Ganze, and Clayton Wachsmann. She also has 16 great-grandchildren - Meaghan and Madison Quickel, Louis, Caleb, Anna, Elijah, Hope, Levi, Isaiah, and Kaliyah Hintz, Payton, Liam, Emerson, and Beckham Broussard, and John David IV and Olivia Ganze.

She is also survived by one sister, Kitty Nowotnik, and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Emma Heerssen; two sisters, Edna Bretting and Evelyn Roesel; and a great-grandson, Samuel Hintz.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, at Klein Funeral Home - Tomball, 1400 W. Main, Tomball, TX 77375. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 8, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 5201 Spring Cypress Road, Spring, TX 77379, with interment to follow in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Spring.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Hermann Schaffer Scholarship Fund, Trinity Lutheran School, or Trinity Lutheran Ladies Aid.

The family would like to thank all of the wonderful caregivers and staff at Southern Knights Assisted Living in Tomball, Texas, and Hospice with Grace in Katy, Texas, for their continuous outpouring of love and attention to their mother.
