?Earl Wayne Lanier, Jr., born December 4, 1957, in Fort Worth, Texas, passed away November 4, 2016, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 58. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Wayne Lanier, Sr.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Darleena Carey-Lanier; his daughter, Elizabeth G. Amy and husband Wade; a stepson, Robert C. Carey; grandchildren, Grady Amy, William Amy, Grayson Amy, Emily Amy, Wesleigh Amy, Elliot Amy, Chad Carey, and Corbin Carey; his mother, Nelda G. Mullinax Lanier; his brothers and sisters, Douglas A. Lanier, Sr. and wife Cindy, Mikel O. Lanier, Sr., Belinda J. Lanier Richardson and husband Eddie, Angela G. Dodd, Darla K. Niehay, and Robert G. Lanier and wife Jamie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends are cordially invited to visit with the family beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, November 12, at Klein Funeral Home - CyFair Northwest, 9719 Wortham Boulevard, Houston, TX 77065, with a funeral service to follow at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Following the service, a Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at one of Earl's favorite restaurants, El Charro Mexican Restaurant, 11163 Huffmeister Road, Houston, TX 77065, with food, tea, and water being provided.
