Earl O'Dell Harris, Jr., a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on December 17, 1936, Earl was a life-long resident of Waller, Houston, and Spring, Texas.

Earl was known for his vibrant spirit, infectious snicker, and a good sense of humor. An avid golfer, a skilled card player, and a passionate stock market enthusiast, he filled his life—and the lives of those around him—with joy. He was especially fond of family dinners, where he enjoyed margaritas and spirited games of Texas Hold'em with loved ones. He was a practical joker at heart, always ready to tease. In addition to his many hobbies, Earl enjoyed traveling in his RV, admiring his garden, and sitting on the patio with his view of the golf course.

He was a devoted family man, survived by his beloved spouse, Leigh Ann Poindexter, as well as his sister, Helen DeGuerin (Pete). He leaves behind his cherished children: daughter Janet Daigneault (Richard), son Steven Harris, and daughter Karen Copeland (Barry). Earl will be dearly remembered by his grandchildren: Dr. Melissa McNeil DVM, Natalie Richardson (Mike), Will Daigneault (Jessica), Caroline Marcom, and his great-grandchildren: Theodore Daigneault, Sophia Daigneault, and Duke Richardson. Earl is predeceased by his wife, Viva Harris, his parents, Earl O'Dell Harris, Sr. and Kathlene Helen Budde Harris, and his sister, Betty Jean Newman (Roy).

A memorial service to honor Earl's life will be held on Thursday, July 24th at 2:00 pm at Klein Funeral Home, located at 16131 Champion Forest Dr, Spring, Texas 77379. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend.
