Sue Reed

Sue Reed, 87, went to be with the Lord and her husband on December 30, 2017 with her children and grandchildren at her bedside in Houston, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her:

Husband, Richard L. Reed
Father and Mother, Paul and Maggie Christensen
Siblings: Bill, GW, Clayton, Jim and Lillian

She is survived by:

Daughter and Husband, Margaret (Tess) and Kevin Vigneaux
- Their children and spouses:
  - Andrew and Sarah Vigneaux
    - Their son, Silas
  - Gretchen and Jovan Gonzalez
    - Their children, Ariel and Jovan Jr.
Son and Wife, Richard (Rick) and Conchita Reed
- Their children:
  - Palmer Reed
  - Sophia Reed
Sister and Husband, Brenda and GL Schroeder

Sue lived in Dallas and Baltimore with her husband and children before moving to Houston when her Husband passed in the mid 1970's. She worked over 30 years at the Aldine ISD Tax Office which she thoroughly enjoyed. Her interests include: sewing, gardening, crossword puzzles, watching (and answering almost all the questions) Jeopardy and Price is Right (especially with her grandchildren), and history. Oh and she loved going to concerts with her daughter and son … yes concerts … such as Elton John, Rod Stewart, ELO, Queen and the Bee Gees.

Sue selflessly and wholeheartedly devoted her life and love to her daughter and son when her husband passed. She never dated or remarried and when asked why … she said, "My one and only true love died, there is no one else". As her children married and then had their own children (Sue's grandchildren), both Tess and Rick had new and even greater appreciation and love for their Mom for all she did in raising them by herself as a single parent.
