Dwayne Eugene Whitney, 63, of Cypress, passed away on March 6, 2020.  He was born October 2, 1956 in Tempe, Arizona to the late Roland and Shirley Ann Whitney.  Dwayne and his family made a home in various places around the world due to his father working in Aerospace. His school years and beyond included Arizona, Australia, California, Hawaii and chose Texas to call home as an adult.

Dwayne met Tiajuana in 1979 and they married on June 29, 1980.  He became an amazing Dad to Shannon Blair, 8 years old and Brian Jones Jr. age 3 at the time they wed. Together, Dwayne and Tiajuana started their own  real-estate appraisal business.  He worked as an appraiser until November 2019; however, Dwayne would tell you his greatest occupation was being a Grandfather.  He loved the Lord and his family with all of his heart.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Shirley Whitney and his grandson, Jordan Blair.

Dwayne is survived by Tiajuana Whitney, his wife of 40 years: Daughter, Shannon Blair (husband Darrin), and son Brian Jones Jr.; grandchildren, Tanner Blair (wife Chloe), Zackary Furhman-Jones, Matthew Blair, Alex Jones, and Preston Blair; sister, Rhonda Whitney and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 and funeral services at 10:00am Wednesday, March 11, 2020, both at Klein Funeral Home, 16131 Champion Forest Drive, Spring, Texas, 77379. Burial will follow at Klein Memorial Park on FM 2920.
