Our father, Duc Minh Le, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from cardiac arrest. Duc was 61 years old.
Duc was born in Vietnam on November 3, 1960 to Tao Van Le and Sac Thi Vu. In 1975, with the fall of South Vietnam, and at the age of 15, Duc and his siblings emigrated to the United States and settled in Humble, Texas. Following the footsteps of his older brother, Binh Le, Duc graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in petroleum (1982) and civil engineering (1984).
After he graduated, Duc landed his first job with Corp of Engineers and in 1985, he joined General Services Administration (GSA), where he spent most of his professional career as a certified civil engineer/senior project manager.
In 1988, Duc met his wife Mai Quynh through mutual friends in San Antonio, Texas. They fell in love and married on November 17, 1990 and had four children: Alexander, Sean, Dustin, and Kristina. His family was his passion and he played a very active part in his children's lives. Whatever our interests were, he would find a way to share those interests such as becoming a Vo Vi Nam disciple and instructor, grilling and cooking, coaching basketball, and coaching club volleyball. Our home was filled with laughter and a place for our friends to hang out with "Anh Duc", "Coach Duke", or "Papa Le". Our father was the anchor and compass that would guide our lives through all the mistakes, successes, and milestones in our growing years. He was a strong, kind, loving, and supportive husband and father. His knowledge, guidance, and patience were the foundation of his family.
Duc predeceased his siblings Tuan Anh, Binh, Diem Dung and Nam and leaves behind his wife and four children.
We mourn the loss of our father and encourage any and all who knew him to remember the memories and laughter that we all shared with him. To celebrate his life, the following services will be held:
