Doyle Frank Harrell passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2022. He was born in Crowville, Louisiana on May 16, 1932 to Richard F. and Rilla Carpenter Harrell. He grew up in his beloved little town of Jackson, Louisiana.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his Grandson Nicholas Lane and Gail Harrel the mother of his older daughter Lynnie Harrell Lane.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Charlotte Grantham Harrell; daughters - Debra Lynn "Lynnie" Lane and Christi Carter (Jonathan); three grandsons – Clayton Doyle Berry, Carson Cully Berry and Jedi Harrell Carter; two brothers-in-law – Farley Grantham and Bob Grantham (Susan); and a sister-in-law – Marjorie Kelly. He also leaves behind his best friend and "brother", Don Gwaltney (Helen).

Doyle graduated McKeown High School in Jackson, LA and attended Southeastern Louisiana College (now Southeastern Louisiana University) in Hammond, LA. He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years and was honorably discharged as a Staff Sgt. In 1956. He was an avid (fanatical) LSU Tigers fan.

He was a heavy equipment insurance claims adjuster and worked for Calvert Fire Insurance Co. for 26 years. In 1981 he and Charlotte Started Coastal Claims Service as an independent adjustment company until 2003 at which time he retired. He made many friends all over the U.S. some of which he has remained in touch with.

A service will be held at Klein Funeral Home; 9719 Wortham Blvd. Houston, Texas 77065 , beginning 2:00 P.M. on Friday, January 28, 2022 with a viewing starting at 1:00 P.M.  Pastor Tim Gould of Houston First Church of God will be conducting Doyle's service. Burial will follow at Klein Memorial Park, 14711 Cypress North Houston Road, Cypress, Texas 77429 .
